List of SuperMagnetMan's Super Magnet Explorer Kit

A lot of customers just need to get a feel for the super magnet strength and so I designed my Magnet Explorer Kit as seen on the Special Magnets page.

This kit has

2 ring magnets - 19mm OD, 11mm ID, 4mm thick

2 square magnets - 19mm x 19mm x 2 mm thick

10 cylinders - 25mm long, 4mm diameter

10 - 5mm cubes

25 disc magnets - 6mm x 2mm

20 square magnets - 5mm x 5mm x 1mm

10 spheres - 8mm diameter

10 rectangles - 15 mm long, 5mm wide, 3mm thick

1 small bag of iron powder. This is great when you turn the clear lid upside down and put one of the magnets underneath the plastic and then sprinkle the powder on top. It shows the lines of magnetism very well.

This is great for a birthday or to give someone a good sampling of neodymium super magnets. Young scientists everywhere will love playing with these magnets and inventing many things with these powerful magnets. Obviously, these are most appropriate for kids 6 years old or older. As I teach many classes on magnetism to elementary school kids I give the same warnings -do not confuse these with snacks -these are not food, do not put them in your mouth or nose. I also warn kids that if they have a younger brother or sister that still explores their world by putting small objects in their mouth - never let the younger brother or sister play with the magnets. I tell them to get their parents to help them find a good place to store these so their little brother or sister cannot get to them. Finally, the last warning is to keep these magnets more than 2 feet away from televisions or computer monitors. The damage these magnets can do to CRT type monitors is usually irreversible.
